Day 1

Here it is....January 1, 2013.  My goal and resolution this year is to lose 80 pounds.  I don't know if that's a realistic goal or not, but I do want to try my hardest to reach it.  I decided to start a blog, to help me and to remember this journey.  I want to put my measurements and weight all on here and see my transformation.

Now it is Day 1 and I didn't do anything today.  I have had a bad hangover from celebrating New Years and even though I wanted today to be the beginning, its really going to have to start tomorrow.  I did watch what I ate today and even though it wasn't the best food, I did watch my proportions.  I will be going to the grocery store tomorrow and begin my good healthy food.  I also signed up for Planet Fitness and want to begin working out.  I do have a membership at the YMCA and I love doing my Zumba classes.  Now if I just devote myself and my time in eating right, eating better and working out I will be good.  I do enjoy healthy foods already and don't drink sodas, so I'm hoping with some small life changes, I can begin to lose weight and feel better.

I want to have some before pictures put up, but will probably put them up tomorrow.....until then....I do want to share what I ate.  I wanted to write down everything I ate, because really it is a good way to watch your food intake and to see everything you eat, but not sure if I will.  I will probably share with you on here on some days what I have eaten.

I ate a small bowl of chicken and veggies
2 hot dogs with mustard
handful of BBQ chips
Capri sun
a glass of apple juice
water
10 sweet pickles

So in reality, I ate lunch and dinner and some snacks in between.  I didn't have much food choices cause we were waiting to go to the grocery store, but I think I did good today.  I really do want to eat 5 small meals a day to boost my metabolism.

So here it is.....a journey to a new me!!!
